Manhole covers form the lid over the opening of a manhole and prevent anyone or anything from falling in! They give access to the drainage run for inspection or maintenance work.
Manhole covers can be made of galvanised steel, cast/ductile iron and sometimes plastic and therefore have variable loading weights as a result.
We use CCTV equipment to inspect manholes suspected of failing. We can also undertake manhole maintenance surveys to ensure we pick up any problems before they happen.
The CCTV shows up all problems or potential areas for structural failure quickly and safely. With our NRSWA Streetworks accreditation we can repair any issues that are picked up, using advance rehabilitation and coating techniques, grouts or resins.
